PRINCE2® Foundation

Courses will be delivered to Project Managers, Project Assurance and Project Support personnel.
The OBJECTIVES of the course should be:

• Understand how to plan and organise PRINCE2® projects
• Use PRINCE2® to ensure quality is delivered
• Follow processes to complete successful projects
• Undertake risk analysis and management
• Pass Foundation Exam

The CONTENT of the course over three days should be designed to maximise examination success whilst developing participants understanding of the method to be able to apply in their work. It should cover the following major areas:

• Introduction to Project Management
• All PRINCE2® Processes from Start up to Closing a Project
• Organisation
• Business Case
• Planning
•  
• Controls
• Risk management
• Quality
• Change control and configuration management

The APPROACH to the course should be a combination of trainer led and practical group working, delivered by an APMG approved trainer. All materials must be accredited by APMG.
The DURATION of the course, due to its necessary intensity should be a minimum of 3 days of 8 hours including evening work and exams.
The EXAMS will be the standard Foundation exam of one hour multiple choice set by APMG.
PRE-REQUISITES
The provider should supply pre-course study material with an approximate pre-course working time of 20 Hours.  The materials to be supplied should include a minimum of:

• pre-course study. PRINCE2® manual,
• study guide,
• interactive CD
• Tutor support should also be provided by an on-line facility in case of difficulty any student may have with the materials.
• On-line post graduation support will be considered a desirable extra.
